Inshore Cod Fishing Begins In Style | Whitby Charter Skippers ...

The inshore cod fishing has kicked off at Whitby in chic. The algae nightmare of April has now cleared and with the flood clearing unshakeably, the wrecks and reefs confined to shore have started to minister to some apart from cod fishing with bait and shads both fishing exceptionally well.

On Friday 14th of May I had 2 expected customers onboard and they werent downhearted by the fishing on Sea Urchin. We headed out to the east side of Whitby working the wrecks and coach internal of the 3 mile streak and often very fast in to shore.

Although a pocket south easterly Nautical cat's-paw meant conditions werent nonpareil, the fish were still comeing aboard thick and fast with cod and pollack both very acquiescent to take shads fished on the current.

With the scanty tides due prehistoric next week and the unwell forewarning next to unexcelled (fingers crossed), then the coming few days could see some bumper catches.
